How to Choose a Juicer

Choosing a juicer needs a good understanding and comparison of each juicer that you consider before buying.   To get the maximum  benefits of juicing, you have  to analyze what is the right juicer for you, the kind and quantity of  fruits you want to prepare, how often you will want to use it and of course the nutrition value of  a certain juicer.  We want to use juicer for the same reason –to make our life healthier.

Most juices came from fruits (citrus, lime, grapefruit, apple, etc). Some consumers want to have a veggie juice or even to make baby food, pasta, grind meat and to make nut butter. In this matter, ask yourself first, “What will I juice?” or “What kind of juice do I like to prepare?”  It’s your choice so think about it today!

All juicers can actually juice but they have different process and results. Higher RPM juicers produce more heat, friction and oxidation which lower nutrients of the juice. If you want to juice citrus, lime, orange and grapefruit then citrus press/juicer is just right for you.  Centrifugal juicers for water- based juice. It means this will extract juice away from its pulp and this kind of juicer works at a high speed and tends to be noisy. Masticating juicers are the best, versatile and most expensive juicers on the market. It works at low speeds and has a greater efficiency juicing fruits and vegetables than centrifugal juicers. Plus, it operates in a quiet manner since it has a low speed.

How many fruits and vegetables will I want to juice and how fast do I want my juice to be done? In line with this, if you want a faster juicer, then go for a centrifugal juicer. It can also process large quantities of fruits and veggies. So you really have to consider the amount of juice you want to consume each day.

After juicing, cleaning the juicer will be your next step. Of course we want a juicer that is very easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Lastly is your budget. How much money are you willing to pay for a certain kind of juicer?  Good juicers range from $100 – $1200. Bottom line: Choose a juicer that can juice your preferences and could meet your budget but with good quality in terms of its nutrition value. Keep in mind that every juicer is different; you usually get what you pay for.
