Here’s what current owners have to say about it:

Gary C. Johansen says:

**** Update 1/12/2012. Still works fine, I now have a small amount of deflection in the handles(hey after 6.5 years of hard use that’s not too bad), my solution is to squeeze one half of the lime, take it out, put the other half in and then put the first half on top and squeeze them both. This is working for me, but if it gets any worse I’ll consider getting a new one – I still love this device.

Bob Tobias says:

UPDATE: It’s been about 4.5 years since I bought this and it still works (and looks) like new. We go through about a dozen lemons and limes each week which comes out to over 5,000 uses without any problems. For me, in hindsight, spending a little extra for the Norpro was a good choice.

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I’ve always appreciated the help I’ve received from other reviewers and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. I hope you found this review helpful and if there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I’ll do what I can to fix it.

Colorado says:

I’ve tried three different citrus squeezers and this is by far the best. I tried the OXO good grips one and the yellow colored cheaper one. The difference between them is so big it’s hard to believe they are the same kitchen tool. Normally I’m partial to the OXO stuff, but this juice press is miles better. I have done everything from making margaritas to key lime pies to orange juice and this handles all of them like a champ. I was curious how much better it was than simply hand squeezing so I rolled my lemon (roll it across your cutting board under your palm with some pressure to loosen up the juices) and cut it in half and squeezed it. I thought I’d gotten everything I could out, maybe 2 tablespoons, and then put it in this and got at least a tablespoon more. I prefer this to the pointy kind of juicer because it filters out the seeds and is just a lot less work. You also won’t get covered in juice. If you regularly use citrus juice in anything this is a MUST HAVE. A tip, if you have a very tough lemon or lime, poke a hole in it and microwave it for a few seconds. Softens it right up.
